Introduction
Welcome to the Visual Art Department’s student art show for the 2019-2020 school year.
Traditionally, we set up a gallery space with dividing walls in Ogden Hall, frame the student work, and hang it divided by the different classes we offered that year. This year, because of the Covid-19 pandemic, we put together this online version of our exhibit. Whereas nothing can quite replace sharing this event in person and discussing and enjoying the art as a community, we hope this virtual edition gives us a way to showcase some of the amazing art the students have produced this year. As always, the students worked incredibly hard under the guidance of their teachers and created truly outstanding work. The students in the upper level classes who were interested in pursuing art at the college level all were accepted into renowned art schools, and students at all levels produced wonderful portfolios of their work. One advantage of this online format is that you can really linger on the work and notice fine detail or interpret deeper meanings than you may have missed at a bustling art opening. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the art!
